Wha - Huh?

I might look like I'm kind of dumb, but I'm pretty smart....most of the time.

I've been asked to write an essay of 1000 words or less on a current elected official who has acted courageously in politics.

I'm completely stymied.
I guess for us conservatives, we could say George W but I think everyone and his dog will choose him.

You intelligent people out there have any ideas?

GW is a great choice - - and to choose another would be really difficult, but you might consider
Governor: Mitt Romney - - he will be tossing his hat into the ring in 08 for the Repub ticket for the White House. I'll think more on this and get back to ya - - I would also say maybe Dick Cheney, but that probably wouldn't work out so great.

I agree...Romney is good.

I realize this is a week old so I'm probably too late. But, you may wish to consider our governer here in Mississippi, Haley Barbour. He has shown amazing leadership in the wake of Katrina. He also doesn't shy away from the tough decisions and speaks with authority.

I'm a little bit proud of him, you can see. Just a suggestion.
