Pink Lady Apples

I wrote a post a LONG time ago about peanut butter and how good it is with my favorite Pink Lady apples.

I received a comment today from the marketing director of Pink Lady America:

I'm the marketing director for Pink Lady America which is a grower-supported association that assists in the marketing of this new apple. I'm glad to hear that you enjoy Pink Lady Brand Apples.

That's awesome!
I didn't even get into how much I love those apples! I never buy any other kind. If I can't find Pink Lady, then I don't eat apples.

Having said all that....I'd rather have had an offer for some free apples for my sterling endorsement.
Or, better yet, donate a few cases to the refugees from Louisiana and Mississippi.
They could use some nutrition!

Pink Lady apples rule. Period. Found your post after Googling for it.

However, I have a point to add. Might put it on my own blog.

I have tried two different types. The first time I had them, the sticker said New Zealand. It was a taste sensation. I couldn't believe I was eating fruit.

Then, when we lived in an area where Wal-Mart was literally the only place to buy groceries, I tried some Pink Ladies that said they were from the U.S.A. They were very disappointing. Thinking maybe they just weren't ripe or something, I tried these a few more times. Not good. Maybe it's a Wal-Mart problem, but they were not good.

Now, I'm in a metro area where choice is available, and I found New Zealand Pink Lady apples. Once again, I am in fruit nirvana. I eat a Pink Lady apple every day with my lunch, and at home my two-year old (who mangles more than eats an apple) is subjugated to eating Red Delicious (nastiest apple ever?).

Again, great post and good story!
