Screwed, Blued and Tattooed...again

It's become a tradition. Last year during Valentine's Day, Lovely Boyfriend bought me a tattoo.
This year, he did it again. I had two pictures of the tattoo I wanted. I wanted aspects of each picture incorporated into my ultimate vision.
We took the pictures to "Chano" who did my very first tattoo (He and his cohorts have just recently moved into a beautiful new building right on the seawall in Galveston) and he drew up a beautiful version of what I wanted.
It was a bit bigger than I had originally wanted but I loved his creation so much that I didn't want to change a thing.
He liked it so much, he asked to take a picture of it for his portfolio.

This is tattoo number 4 for me and I can honestly say that my first 3 didn't hurt one bit. I always shook my head at people who talked about how bad their tattoos hurt because they were obviously wussies.
However, this one hurt. Apparently, the skin on the back of the neck and the back is thicker with more nerve endings. The pain wasn't so bad that I wanted him to stop but I was VERY happy when it was over.
It was pretty sore for a couple of days (it felt like a sunburn) and now that it's healing, it's itchy as all hell.

I'll get Lovely Boyfriend to take a pic of it tonight and I'll post it for you all to admire.

Now....time to pick out next year's tattoo and location....
